Gynecological disorder are those disorders that affect female reproductive system. Every woman  suffers from some gynecological disorders in some points in her life. Common gynecological conditions are:

PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease):

It is a very common gynecological disorder which can occur at any age in the fertility period of a woman. It is a hormonal disorder causing the enlargement of ovaries with small cysts on the outer edges.Common symptoms are weight gain, unwanted hair growth, mood swings, delayed menstruation or absence of menstruation for a long time. Treatment protocol includes diet and lifestyle correction, internal medicines, udwartana, suitable panchakarma.

Menorrhogea:

It is abnormally heavy and prolonged bleeding during menstruation.

Metrorrhegea:

Irregular bleeding particularly between expected menstrual periods.

Dysmenorrhea:

It is painful periods / periods with menstrual cramps. Underline cause may be uterine fibroid, endometriosis, adenomyosis. Ayurveda describes dismenorrhoea as Udavartha.Treatment includes snehapana(intake of medicated ghee in prescribed quantities). Internal medicines as shamanaoushada and external therapies and suitable panchakarma.
